The first 2019 iteration of the Bitcoin Rodeo will be called The Blockchain and Technology Symposium. It will take place in Edmonton, Alberta on March 5–6 at the Edmonton Convention Centre.

One of the panels that I’m most excited for will be “Fungibility and censorship resistance in the developing world”. For this panel, we’ve brought together an incredible group of speakers from all over the world.

Rodolfo Novak, Luis Buenaventura, Mauricio Di Bartolomeo
Rodolfo Novak

Rodolfo Novak was born in São Paulo, Brazil. As the founder and CEO of Coinkite, he has been at the forefront of bitcoin hardware development since 2012. Coinkite is behind hardware like the Opendime, Coldcard and The Block Clock.
Rodolfo designs products with a pragmatic user-experience in mind. He has a thorough understanding of how and why people use bitcoin.

Luis Buenaventura

As an early bitcoin pioneer from The Philippines, Luis Buenaventura has a keen appreciation for how useful bitcoin can be to the unbanked and underbanked of the world. He authored the book “Reinventing Remittances with Bitcoin,” which collects strategies and stories about the fast-growing blockchain remittance industry.

Mauricio Di Bartolomeo

Before December 2017, Mauricio Di Bartolomeo’s and his brother operated bitcoin mining businesses in Venezuela. As a result, he has first-hand experience with the results of an autocratic government, meddling with the national currency. As well as how bitcoin can help in this situation. He brings a perspective few can match.

Mauricio’s brother’s bitcoin miners…

As you can see we have an amazing group of speakers for this topic. You can see some of the other topics we’ll be exploring at BitcoinRodeo.com
